Show up & Speak Out

Participating in council hearings is easier and more important than you think. Actually, it’s crucial. Meetings are held so that the City Council can receive and consider public views before making decisions on important issues. The process is meant for participation but it only works when you show up or submit!

In general, your written and verbal testimony should come from the heart and your experience. You don’t need to be an expert on an issue, there are peopled hired to do that. But if you are, do share! Good rule of thumb is to share your story and stick to the topic.
